Recently my players have been experiencing a chunk reset. One of them have house in twilight and a few days ago part of it reset. I op-ed the player and he takes 1 day to rebuild his house. Fast forward another day or two when I check the backup file, I find that the sample player house has part of it reset (but not the same chunk, just another chunk next to the last one)

Some information I have gathered from the players:

  • Before any of the incidents, there have been plenty of crashes when the two players in twilight attempt to go through the portal to overworld. The portal is also in close proximity (2 to 3 chunks away) to the house mentioned
  • The affected house is a machine room. However, I also have a machine room in overworld but did not encounter the same chunk reset
  • After the first incident, the crash has never happen again until just before the second instant. I have the two crashes during the time here (First crash in twilight: http://pastebin.com/CSqMYpGN, second crash in overworld: http://pastebin.com/27ntaSRr)
  • Before I manually stop the server, there is no chunk reset albeit the backup clearly shows the chunk fail to save. But after I restart the server, the chunk reset has taken effect
I use ultimate pack 1.1 with removal of all voxel mod, EE3 and I installed forgebackup on the server side. Hope it helps

you may need to reload your twilight age ( like delete it and let it load again) as it seems there could be something corrupting the world, you could also try and mess around with MC Edit to restore chunks. I saw this happen once on a video and the reason causing the reset was a faulty mod[DOUBLEPOST=1363719525][/DOUBLEPOST]how much ram do you allocate to your server and is your CPU up to the job in hand?

I allocated 2 GB ram and while there is occasional lag spike, overall it runs smoothly.

I tried to investigate the world region and identified the corrupted region. When I open the map in single player I find the following warning in the console: http://pastebin.com/GTtJ0hVn

I suppose the mod that is affecting the situation is SecretDoor? If so I can remove it. I don't think I will reload twilight because of my players spent a lot of time in building his only house there
