Small (Mature) Gaming Group Recruitment

Hey everybody,

I've been looking for a group of 2-5 gamers to play some FTB with; kind of like the B-team from the Mindcrack server.

I tend to be on most days of the week starting around 12:00 pm PST (UTC-08:00). Currently I have significant experience in the Direwolf20 pack, but I'd like to get into GregTech so I've been playing the Ultimate pack for the past few weeks.

I'd like to find a group of people to build a group-base with, and so one of the main requirements is that you have a microphone and are willing to talk over Skype, Raidcall, or Teamspeak, depending on what is most convenient for those involved, while playing.

We'd be a server-independent group, so if a server that we happened to be playing on shut down we could all find another one to play on. In that same vein, the server (and exact modpack) is currently undecided. I do have a few ideas, but it's open to suggestion and will be decided upon later by the group.

The main reason I'm looking for a group of gamers rather than just a community server is that even in a community server, without having somebody to work with directly, it's easy to get a bit lonely. So, by forming a small group to work with I hope to alleviate that feeling for everybody involved.

Maturity (you don't have to actually be 18+ but you should act like you are)

A little bit about yourself - I'm a 30 year old student from Manchester, England. I've been playing for a couple of years and I like the whole spectrum of Minecraft. I'm as comfortable with building complex processing/power systems, as I am beautiful buildings and landscaping. I'm looking to socialise and build cooperatively (hopefully, something very substantial) with a friendly type of crew. I'm not certain they need to move. This isn't a server recruitment pitch per se, but rather a "guild" one. We don't really have a specific place for that kind of thing so I'm personally hazy on moving it myself. I am thinking on what we could do with these in the future, though, as this isn't the first "matchmaking" request I've seen here. =)

Would certainly be an idea to create a space to help link people forming small groups. Moreover, I actually think that's what most people want out of the game, and weirdly there's no distinct way of getting it.

Poke it with a stick......or better yet create a FTB dating sub forum erm I mean a meeting place, where ppl can post requests just like the OP's.

Haha, I appreciate that Vauthil, I've actually been following the conversation for the past hour so my hopes never got that high. I would love to see a guild recruitment thread, kind of like on the Minecraft forums, except for FTB as well
