Slow sorting machine

My sorting machine can't keep up with my 30MJ/t quarry it gets backed up constantly doing the cobble/dirt any way to get around this?

use filters and put your sorting machine inline

1. use a diamond pipe and direct the cobble into a void pipe.
2. use a diamond pipe and direct the cobble into lava.
3. use a diamond pipe and direct the cobble into a cactus.
or
4. use a diamond pipe and direct the cobble into a long ass cobble pipe feeding right into your neighbors sorting system, maybe they need some cobble.

Personally, I'm a big fan of 4.

Use more sorting machines from the chest your quarry items go in to

5. don't use diamond pipes because BC pipes suck for sorting systems.

6. Don't use redpower because any one machine will halve your fps, regardless of hardware.

I use a diamond pipe off the quarry and filter dirt, cobble, sand and marble off to a separate ender chest with a different color. That color links to a different storage room just for those things and when that fills up I void pipe the rest. I have two wooden pipes with autarchic gates pulling the items out and it seems to keep up fine. I void pipe gravel. stuff like ores and the unepected dungeon items goes into another ender chest which connects to my processing system.
