How do you guys get a lot of these? Import buses, aye.

I was looking up propolis, but it doesn't look like a very reliable source. Maze slime spawner sounded interesting, but I have no idea how that works?

Enlighten me.

What version of FTB?

I just kill a metric ton of slimes by finding the chunks they spawn in. In 152ngt, I kill blue slimes due to their plentiful nature, which you can substitute in many recipes.

They're fairly common monster spawns in Twilight Forest labyrinths : you can quite easily get two or three stacks just running around.

That is what I was thinking.

MFR has spawners too though, what are they like? I don't mind the energy costs, it might make it a little bit more balanced. Are there any issues with those? Do they count for soul shards?

Yeah, you can sshard mfr mobs as they're just... normal mobs.

You need mob essence to make mobs though and SS mobs don't count for mob essence.

Breeding is a good method of getting lots of that shtuff, vanilla spawners are passable as well. If you're in a pack with extra utilities, then a cursed ground dark room works ace.

Oh and the energy cost is ... okay for what it does.

If you are on 1.4.7, MFR will generate its own mob essence using a loop with slimes in an auto-spawner feeding a grinder. In later versions, this doesn't work, but in official 1.4.7 release, it will. Using this trick, you can spawn as many slimes as you want. Your only limit is power. Make sure you wire up a kill switch on the spawner. It won't stop making mobs, as it will never run out of mob essence spawning slimes.

Several ways: if you have a good supply of propolis and pollen (from the Industrious bee branch), that can be one source. Another is to move to a swamp biome--slimes will spawn on the surface at night. You can also use the Factorization Crystallizer to create them from lime dye (bone meal + cactus green) and milk.

(looks at ss blaze spawners)
I assume this is after 1.5?
Since they give mob essence, and a lot of it

I'm going to assume you're after rubber. Propolis is very easy to get. Just get the industrious bee and run it through an alveary. centrifuge the stringy combs to get propolis and centrifuge the propolis to get sticky resins and....profit???

Or farm rubber trees? Either sort gives rubber that can make the required sticky pistons for import busses.
