If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Skyfactory Java 1.8 not loading
Launcher Version:
1.4.12
Modpack:
SkyFactory2.5
Modpack Version:
1.7.10
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
So I have updated my java to 1.8 after seeing that it keeps telling me this modpack needs java 1.8 or higher and yet the modpack even after deleting and reinstalling the launcher itself would not work and gave me the this modpack requires 1.8 or higher. All i want to know is how to fix this so it recognizes i do indeed have java 1.8

Check your antivirus progarm and tell it to ignore your modpack folder.

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\Benjamin\Documents\Curse\Minecraft\Instances\FTB Presents SkyFactory 2.5\config\WirelessRedstone.cfg (The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open)

As the log says this is the file Minecraft can't access: C:\Users\Benjamin\Documents\Curse\Minecraft\Instances\FTB Presents SkyFactory 2.5\config\WirelessRedstone.cfg

So try adding the Instances folder to the list of ignored folders.
