SkyFactory 2.5.3 items deleted

Details of the issue:
I've been expanding my Applied Energistics 2 system including deep storage units. The issue is whenever I connect the dsu part of the system any items put in the system that are not in the dsu's gets deleted. I've lost a bunch of stuff and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Is there something I can add here to help figure out what is breaking my ME?​

ok I think I found a bug. If you have a locked empty dsu connected to your ME system it deletes items that are put in the system that are not in the other dsu's. for example if you put chests in the system and you don't have a dsu for chests they get deleted. removing the empty dsu cleared the issue up.
