Sky factory 3 mobs quite spawning

Are there any known issues with hostile mobs spawning. I am using a 3x3 tunnel with vector plates pushing mobs to a drop off tof get killed. It was working great and I had been busy at work for a few days and without changing anything all hostile mobs stopped spawnin. I was just checking in and sometime yesterday they quite spawning I am running my world on a server v3.0.1 with a chunk loader keeping things going when I'm not around. I have only changed keep inventory to true and mob grief to false
 
Yes... that is exactly what mega-torches are meant for. They keep everything within 64 blocks mob-spawning free, regardless of light levels or obstacles.
 
64 block horizontal radius right? I've read elsewhere that Magnum torches were 32 vertical, but my current experience is that this is not absolutely accurate.
