Sky Factory 3 Crash on Load

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Sky Factory 3 Crash on Load

Launcher Type Twitch Desktop App

Modpack Sky Factory 3

Modpack version 3.0.14

Have you modified the pack? No

Link to log file http://paste.feed-the-beast.com/view/b6c099b5

Details of the issue Game was running fine. Exited game to restart computer. Played on another world for awhile. Went back to this world and every time I launch the game, it gets to the dirt screen, says loading terrain, then CTD. I have not made ANY changes anywhere. Not even a windows update. Attempted swapping FoamFix(Anarchy) for FoamFix(Lawful). No effect so reverted.

Make sure you have backups, then use MCEdit to remove this block:
Block location: World: (34,58,285)

Remember to save in MCEdit before you exit, and try again.

Post new log if it still fails.

Don't run MCedit at the same time as the game is open.

If you ran Curse/Twitch as admin and the files/saves are created as admin - then you might need to run MCedit as admin as well - try that and see if that helps.

Unfortunately, MCEdit doesn't want to recognize any of my modded saves. It sees vanilla just fine and I was running MCEdit as administrator from the start. So I went to a backup, not much was lost, but I did get into the game. The block at those coordinates was an iron tool forge. I removed it, but I think the problem may have been the rain shields that I had throughout the area. Those have always seemed glitchy. They were not in the backup and I did not re-place them once I got into my world.

Thank you for your time! Wish I knew why MCEdit wouldn't work, but oh well.
