I tried reddit for this but, no one answered;
I currently have a Grid storage system setup on my base. Way down below is my small mob farm. Every time I log in I have to climb down a ladder trying not to die and fill up my inventory with monster gubs. Then I crawl back up the long ladder and manually add each item to the inventory. I'm about ready to TNT the thing. Too much work.
I'm trying to make some type of system that sends the monster gubs from my monster spawner to my GRID storage system without me touching it. I've tried external storage cables attached to vacuum chests then cabled all the way up into my GRID. This allowed 1 item to be transferred up every 2 minutes until it just stalled. Then I tried ender hoppers....no clue how those work or how to use them so that failed. Then tried daisy chaining regular hoppers to the 4x4 oak drawers with a controller. This also failed, all the items get stuck after 4 different types, it won't allow the items to flow to the bottom of the drawers. Then I tried Daisy chaining hoppers into a vanilla chest attaching an export cable connector to it then a import cable connector to the drawers.....hey guess what, didn't work. Next I tried the same daisy chained hoppers to vanilla chest and item conduit from Ender IO but it reads Item conduit has no valid points.

So, before I set fire to minecraft is this even possible to do? All I want is to setup my mobfarm to send all the gubs to my Grid way up top of my base. How do I do this, and please don't go into micro-electronic code speech, I'm not an engineer.

EDIT: This is in Sky Factory 3

The things you described should work.

I can't infer from your post why they don't.

Basically, you need something to collect items from the ground, and something to move the items from that to their destination. That is one of the oldest and easiest thing to do in modded.
You mentioned you have EnderIO, so a vacuum chest from EnderIO to vacuum up the mob drops, and an item conduit from that chest to your storage system input. Set the conduit that connects to the vacuum chest to "extract" and the conduit that connects to your storage to "insert", both on the same color channel (just don't touch the channel settings and it should be)

Also, make sure that your storage doesn't fill up; so for example, if you use storage drawers, give the drawers that hold mob drops void upgrades.
