What are the requirements to spawn animals on a platform?
What height?
How big?
Light level?
What will spawn there?

I did not notice any unusal spawning rules in SF3 so far, so orientate yourself on the classic spawning guides available everywhere. The only difference is that you see different types of chicken spawning and they may have googly eyes.

Try making a 7x7 or 9x9 grass area (sift for grass seeds) that receives sun light about ~25 blocks away from where you typically are. That worked for me at least.

Yes, grass surface and at least 24 blocks away from your location. Try out the various bait types to lure your animals of choice!
