Since it is a ticking player issue in the server log. I would try to rename your player.dat file then log into the server to create a new one. Sounds like something in your player.dat file is corrupt. But, if that doesn't fix then just rename the file back and hopefully someone else my have a fix for your.

Thanks,I fixed it with the server command /clear to empty my player(s) inventories (s) right as I tried to join before the server had time to kick me.Of course this deletes everything on the player but that's ok with me. I am able to join now. Thanks, is the player.dat related to what inventory the player is carrying/holding?

Yes, the player.dat file actually holds your inventory, spawn location (set by sleeping), current location, current dimension, and a whole bunch of other things. Good that you were able to fix it. It is also possible to edit the file using an NBT editor. Personally I like NBTExplorerer.
