Single Player world doesn't load

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title:
Single Player world doesn't load
Launcher Version:
1.4.8.344
Modpack:
Direwolf20 1.7
Modpack Version:
1.6.1
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
Everytime I try to load my singleplayer game it says loading world but then goes back to the menu.

My 7 year old daughter and I play on a singleplayer Lan game and I'm not sure what happened the last time we played we saved and logged out. Didn't crash.

Maybe my daughter placed something in the world that's crashing it? Any help would be extremely appreciated otherwise my daughter will be devastated :(

Delete the EnderStorage file from your world save, make backup before doing it.

Well, that helped a little bit. Now it at least tries to load instead of just going right back to the menu. But now I'm getting this error:

Forge Mod Loader detected missing blocks/items.
There are 6 missing blocks and items in this save.
If you continue the missing blocks/items will get removed.

Missing blocks/items:
PneumaticCraft: oil
PneumaticCraft:universalActuator
PneumaticCraft:fuel
PneumaticCraft: oil
PneumaticCraft:fuel
PneumaticCraft:universalActuator

If I click yes on that error to continue on it crashes. Here is the crash report generated: http://pastebin.com/XNJXjdUX

This is from the Logs folder: http://pastebin.com/AftyNCcv

You could try this: https://github.com/Fenixin/Minecraft-Region-Fixer

Do you have any backups?
EDIT: The modlist for DW20 lists AromaBackup, is the mod enabled?

I scanned the world with MCRF and it didn't detect any corrupt regions. It did find two files that were not readable, village.dat and PistonRelayPairs.dat (not sure what that means).

AromaBackup doesn't look disabled. *edit* It appears it wasn't set to auto back up in the config file though DANGIT!!!

There isn't a file named that in the region folder. :( Nothing with double digits.
well, then load&save method, in Ur case it's load&reload:
try delete regions file by file and load save.
if corrupted region is critical for U then try MCedit on it.

I'm not sure either but did you try to delete broken stuff with MCRF? https://github.com/Fenixin/Minecraft-Region-Fixer/wiki/Usage or you could manually move those two .dat files somewhere else and see if it works.

If this or what adamich suggested doesn't work, you could try making schematics of things you want to save with MCEdit and pasting them into a new world.

I'm not sure about single player but in your Direwolf20 folder, there might be a backup of the world that was created when the pack was updated.

I fixed it!!! Yay!!!

mc.crab when you reminded me about AromaBackup I checked the folder and didn't see a backups folder so I thought I didn't have it configured right. The next day it I remembered I had seen it giving text messages while playing that it was doing back ups. So I was like where is the back up folder, and then I realized I was checking the new direwolf20 folder since I had reinstalled the mod a couple times. Then it dawned on me that I had moved the whole direwolf20 folder to a safe place before reinstalling in case I needed it, so I checked there and found the back ups.

Loaded the most recent back up and Bingo I'm in :) (although I feel slightly dumb cause I forgot I have moved the original folder)

Thanks mc.crab (send me a private message if you want beer heh )

Thanks everyone else who tried to help as well.
