Hey, i am a big fan of Feed the Beast, and i am currently playing the Mindcrack mod pack. At the start of my world everything was fine but now im having a few issues. These are:
1. Everytime i break a block, i have to either wait a second or two for it to dissapear, or i have to break it multiple times.
2. When ever i open my inventory, chest, furnace or any type of GUI, i get very bad frame rates for about 3-5 seconds.

Are there any ways to fix these problems?

All help is appreciated. :)

First issue is generally server lag. (Remember that even SSP is now server-based!)

As for the second issue, try pressing "O" (I believe?) to disable the NEI interface and see if that fixes it. (You can press "o" again to restore the GUI)

Ooh, but is there a way to fix the server lag? Or do i have to deal with it? Because when I start a new world it doesn't have any server lag.

I totally forgot about the disabling NEI option, I will try this when I get on my computer.

Decrease complexity in loaded chunks. Specifically, tile entities that do updates (machines, wires, et cetera)

Also, try turning off anything you have running (both in-game and on the computer). See if that helps.

How do i decrease complexity in loaded chunks? Are there certain options in video settings that i need to modify? And also, would Optifine help?

Edit: I started a new world and there is absolutely no block lag at all, nor inventory/gui lag. Is it because of my world? D:

Very well may be. I can't say more without seeing the world, however.

Video settings affect the client only, although if you're running a SSP world decreased client resource usage might help the server.

Are you using a Texture Pack, by chance? If so, try going back to default and see if that helps. Optifine is worth a try, from what I understand, it helps a lot of people, but some people report it actually making matters worse (I haven't found it making much of a difference either way, fps wise). For grins, you might also try running after a fresh reboot of the computer; I've found that Java sometimes flakes out a bit, and a reboot will usually restore order.

If you are using BC pipes, make sure you are not overloading your system. If you do they will spill over causing major lag in that area.

If you are using any chunk loaders that's what hit me. Atrocious block lag after placing a couple of those.
