Summary of the problem Simply Jetpacks Go Berserk While Flying
Pack Version 3.0.5
What is the bug? After 3.0.5, my jetpack (energetic alloy tier, I believe, the one with gold, redstone, and glowstone) will randomly send me flying off at very high speeds while flying around. I end up traveling thousands of blocks in less than a second before releasing the controls and coming to a stop over some random place in the void. Once this happens, all horizontal jetpack movement (vertical stays correct) is obscenely fast and the only real way to get back to your base is to suicide with /kill or fall into the void.
Mod & Version Simply Jetpacks, whatever version 3.0.5 uses.

Is it repeatable? Yes. Turn your jetpack on and fly around for a while and eventually you'll suddenly go flying off at extreme speed. Happens pretty quickly, within 15-30 seconds.
