Silver wood Tree Nodes in Magic farm 2

Does anybody know how not to destroy the nodes when cutting them down? Is there a special tool that I need?

If you're trying to capture them in a Node in a Jar for Thaumcraft purposes, just cut down the rest of the tree and leaves and surround the log block with glass and planks like you would any other node.

If you are trying to remove the tree but leave the node behind that is not possible. You will always destroy them when you destroy the log, think of it as the node is directly bonded to the tree.
