I'm sure there people that built huge power plants of EV current packets or at least HV current, We all try to put the machines to the proper voltage so the CPU isn't going insane with processes but there are just some times you gotta step the voltage down/up in bulk in order to get what you want done. (a massive MFR laser farm is a good case you would need mass transforming to MV current) So how do we do that? Typically this call for these ugly bulky things.
Yep the usual 4 MVs on the HV which is good for only 2048eu/t as transformers only does one "operation" per tick of spitting up the larger into 4 smaller voltages. So.. There just gotta be a better way to do this than to setup a bunch of these after the facts that we made sure all the machines that are upgrade able to the voltage of the output of the power line. I'll demonstrates this with 64 MFEs setup
Hooked up to gold cabling just for showing but cause of the lost the last couple ended up with barely any power.
Filling at 81912eu/t! So here the actual thing from Advanced Power Management in the Unleashed 1.1.2. Made like so
This is the interface of the thing
Yep you can even adjust the sides of the thing! No need to fiddle with wrenches all day long! Like I said it's isn't a bright idea to do something like this, "I think I'm going to run everything on LV current so nothing blows up from my 400 Ultimate solar panels ." Instead actually send the time to upgrade all the machines as possible the voltage your putting out, Then use this the rest of your setups. As I'm going to work on a power plant to supply all the power everybody needs on my server so this will be very handy and easy to get done with a couple of these even at end game Fusion reactors from GT. So aren't these things awesome or what? You had been warned that these could hog your CPU, cause that's just the way calculations are carried out. The more packets the power lines have then the more processing the server will have to do. People who still use GT could try to reduce the strain probably by using Superconductors as they have one less thing to calculates for Every packet, and that is power loss.
