I can't figure out what would be the most productive, they always end up different each time, what is the best one to use?

Power converters are not always good tho.
I wanted to power my refinery with 6 mj/t but the converter automaticly used 30 eu to create 12 mj ...

With that, they're inefficient in materials and space.
Why space? all you need is the engine, the cables, and the redstone signal.
Power converters are not always good tho.

Did you use energy conduits? They have losses.
Power converters convert perfectly and don't have any losses.

I had this: [MFSU]-Glass Fibres cables-[power converter stuff][refinery]

Power converters, unless you play on a server that has gimped the power converters rates. Then you use Iron tube engines.
Not sure why you'd use a pneumatic generator upgrade though. They are only for GT machines right? And you stated that you had EU already.

What are you trying to power with MJ?
