You have 3 options now:congratulations you've just discovered the hat mod. Enjoy!

1. Carry on playing and leave the king be.
2. Kill the king and wear his crown (hat).
3. Remove the hat mod to settle your curiosity.
Yeah, hats spawn and despawn, although I don't know at which rate. At one time when I was trying to unlock all the hats I kept an animal in the corner of a farm and whenever I saw a hat I didn't have, I killed the animal for it before replacing it.I've got a farm for animals in my DW20 (1.6.4) modpack world and I've noticed something odd... animals can spawn hats and it seems that the hats eventually despawn. I routinely see sheep in my wool farm with various hats at various times, the sheep are never killed so I have to assume that hats despawn on their own if the creature is not killed by a player.
Can anyone confirm this?
Any questions are good. What happens is a lot of ideas are exchanged and even the more experienced members tend to learn something or think up of something interesting. And the mod is called "Hats". iChunUtil is the core mod needed to run all of iChun's, a mod maker's, mods. He makes a lot of fun mods like Morph, Hats, etc.I'm looking at the Direwolf20 wiki page and I don't see a "hat mod"? But I'll find it because I'm going to obviously have to read the description of every mod so I don't constantly bother you all with simple questions like this one. I'll try to only post the more difficult questions. Thanks for your help!

Edit: I see it - under "IchunUtil".
Edit #2: How come they don't call it the "TF2 mod" instead? Hats!!
Edit: Also, here's the official site to check the official changelogs for the modpacks and such. https://feedthebeast.atlassian.net/wiki/display/PML/Direwolf20 It also lists all the mods.
If it isn't a Crown of Royal, I don't care.Just what it says - I found a normal looking sheep but it is wearing what looks to be a golden crown?
I'm gonna have a lot of questions with this pack I think. Did some googling but found nothing.
Plenty of people update mods manually. You do not NEED to(unless you are playing on a server or want a new feature e.g. Thaumcraft 4.1 research), thoughThank you for that link.
I've often wondered... when I start up the launcher and go into my Direwolf20 game, it tells me some of the mods are out of date. Because it's an "official" mod pack, nobody updates those mods, do they? I mean, nobody manually goes and gets the updates to install... or do they?
I tend to not unless I want a new feature right away, as an unexpected bug might crop up that corrupts the world or something. Otherwise, don't worry about it, as the people making the modpack test to make sure there are no bugs before adding the new feature.Thank you for that link.
