ServerStart.bat won't work.

I downloaded the Ultimate Pack today, and I clicked on the serverstart.bat, and it opened up for a second, then closed. I entered pause into the .bat file to see what was going on, and it said that it could not access the ftbserver.jar, so to make sure I extracted all the files together, then when I tried to start up serverstart.bat it worked, but there were a ton of [SEVERE] messages, some of which being forge did not download properly. I tried downloading it again, I extracted, editted, made my own .bat and it still didn't work. It doesn't seem like anyone else has this problem so I am very confused as to what I'm supposed to do to make this server work properly.
