Problem ServerStart.bat not working right

I am running Windows 64 Bit and self hosting.

So the problem is that when I open it up, it says "press any key to continue" and then I press it, and it just closes not opening anything new

Can you post the server log, any errors should be there.

That is the problem, the ServerStart doesn't have any logs

In your server folder should be a logs folder, post the fml-server-latest.log.

Do you have mods in it? If you have optifine through the server mods it will just close.

Try running the startserver as administrator. Sometimes it can't access the necessary files unless you run it that way.

If it says "Press any key to continue", your server failed to start.

There will be messages before it. Copy that window.

(I will bet you installed just a 32bit Java, because java.com is not smart at all really, so it can't do java -blah to start the server)
(edit: think maybe there is also a server install bat that is needed to be executed first)
