Server went down while i was exploring Mystcraft ages. How do i get it back up?

  • What OS are you running? Windows 7
  • Are you using minecraft hosting provider or a dedicated/local server not designed for minecraft? Minecraft hosting provider
  • What version of FTB are you using? (Dont just say latest tell us the version) 1.0.7
  • Did you add any mods to the server pack? Nope
  • What are your server specs? Dont know, i didnt purchase it. But i know the server is only like 10$ so probably 512-1024 ram.
  • A good detailed paragraph about the problem
I'm playing on my friends server. He pays 10$ for a server for just the 2 of us to play together w/o being griefed etc. Last night i was the only one on making and exploring Mystcraft worlds trying to get dense ores when suddenly the server went down and has been down for a few hours now.

Can you guys tell me what to tell him to do to fix it? Is it a simple server restart from his server dashboard page? Does he need to manually delete the ages i created (crashed after age 39)? Will those ages still lag the server even after i killed the books with a sword because i didn't want them?

That link you posted in your first post didn't say anything about supplying logs and if you read the OP you would know that it isn't my server so i can't get any logs. I'm pretty sure this is a common issue with servers because ive heard others talk about it on streams and stuff.

oke lets start with your issues.

1. You do need logs that falls under "A good detailed paragraph about the problem"
2. You are running 39 myscraft worlds on a 1Gig ram server ? ! no wonder it crashes
3. destroying the book will not disable or delete the age in ANY way shape of form! it will keep running in the background
4. If you dont even have FTP acces, get another host

Tell your friend to post the crash log here, without it, none can help you/your friend.

As it looks like i could have the same problem, i will post a report here, even though it seems like something that should be posted to the mod creator of mystcraft.
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Hosting my own server (not the same PC as i play with, but same OS)
I'm not sure how to see the sever version, but it's the server version i downloaded with the 1.0.7 FTB client.
I got Routingpipe and logisticspipes installed on the server.
server specs:
Windows 7 64-bit
amd Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4 GHz
2GB ram, 512xms/1024xmx allocated to the server.

Same problem as above (i think), the difference is that i got this issue with my first age i created.
I have had several ages before on my server computer, without issues.
However, i can get to the age, walk for about 10-15 sec, and then the server crashes.
And when i start the server again, i have no problems walking arround in the age though, untill i go back to the overworld, and try to enter the age again.
Adding a world anchor to the age, to keep it loaded does not help.
Might be connection related in some wierd way, as i got my server computer as a router. But as i currently got a LAN at my place, i have a router connected to the server, (i got 2 network cards in the server).

I have not tried making more ages, to see if they work fine, but i can try that if needed.
