Server suddenly stopped working

Title Server suddenly stopped working

Launcher Type Server

Modpack FTB Infinity

Modpack version 1.7(v2.6.0)

Have you modified the pack? No

Details of the issue Hi, I've had this issue before; a server runs fine, then one day, for no reason it decides to not start up(even though nothing was changed)

So, I downloaded a fresh server, started it up. Works fine until I add an IP to the server.cfg file, then it crashes. The thing is, a server without an IP is useless.

I tried everything that came to my mind, googled it, but no solution seems to help.

You shouldn't put IP in server.properties (if that's what you mean).

The server uses the network/IP (and I'm guessing that's a local area network and the machine doesn't have a public IP address and therefore not aware about the public IP that you put in your configs), that is present on the machine that it starts on, and if you're behind a firewall/router then you need to do portforward in that firewall/router to your local machine (and also make sure that traffic is allowed in any software firewall on the machine).

Do you have a server.cfg - file?

I stated clearly, that i add an IP to the server.cfg file
It's using a hamachi IP. Nothing to do with port forwarding; the worst thing that could happen is the server being inaccessible, not the server crashing.

wow - why the anger?

What part does server.cfg belong to?

Not really anger, just pointing out, that you're not reading. server.cfg in the root.

still bad attitude - I am reading what you are writing, that's why I am asking you about the server.cfg - are you reading?

I'm trying to help you out, and you act like a duche.

There is no server.cfg present in the root when you set up a server from the server zip-file, either from FTB launcher or downloaded from web - so if you have one, then it comes from something else - are you using any other software to start your server?

I don't think you understand. When you run ServerStart.bat, then it creates a server.cfg file in the root.

No. no other software.

Open your folder and check that file, please take a screenshot for me and show

I'm out trying to helping you, not waisting my time - but someone else will surely help you out.
