One of the biggest problems I have with running a Tekkit server is it's incompatability with plugins, particularly anti-grief plugins. A lot of stuff wasn't logged. I'm wondering can we expect the same kind of issues in FTB servers? Are the devs working with this in mind or planning anything to help people running servers?

Afaik there won't be any bukkit stuff, but there are Forge-Mods that add protection features I've been told

There will eventually be support for protection plugins however they are unlikely to be bukkit related

Forge mod protections will be available. Although it is highly advised to have a whitelisted or private server. Small (10-15 players) servers are much more enjoyable than large ones anyways.

I know the big stuff is logged, like the placement of nukes and such. FTB has a ton of built in countermeasures anyway, the warded stuff and the safes.

Alternatively you could run a whitelist server with people you trust.

EDIT: Damn it. >.>

Build all your stuff out of warded blocks

On many forums it is considered impolite to post in a thread that is very old and probably forgotten that very few people are looking in anymore. One possible exception is when the thread is describing an issue you are having too and you can't find anything anywhere that fixes the issue but some forums don't like that either and prefer that you create a new thread.

EDIT: If the last post in a thread is a year old or more or the thread isn't on the front page of that subforum anymore it is probably wise not to post in it.
