hi,

this is a silly, but i got to ask.
do you think that 500mb is enought to run a small (5-6 users) ftb server?

ps: i'm thinking in buying the 500mb cubedhost plan (shared).

thanks

500mb what?, we need all the specs to be able to help you.
oh, sorry. it's a 500mb of ram. it's a shared server, and they say that they use intel xeon w3520, but it isn't a dedicated server.
i'm just going for the lowest possible plan, that can run ftb.

thanks

My guess is that you will be able to have 3 people on that server, i would personally say that 1gb is the required minimun for a FTB server.

FTB uses 450 to 600 running with NO players connected. ( FTB A Pack. ) At least 1 gig is needed to run it properly.

You'll outgrow 500mb quick. A bukkit server with just core plugins will need 2gb to handle 10 players. Map size will eat up ram quickly, so if the 5-6 are friends try to keep everybody within 2,000 blocks from spawn. Don't make multiple ages, maybe just 1.
