I just recently got a FTB server that uses Multicraft control panel. In order to access my FTP files I had to install a FTP client which was FileZilla and everything is working as It should from my stand point.

The question I have is for installing bukkit plugins, I know that you need bukkitforge for it to work (which I have installed in my core mods folder, but where do I install the plugins in my server files as there is not a plugin folder.

Well I figured It out. In case anyone cares or is having a similar problem to mine hears what I did.

FileZilla connects to your server using the Host, username, password , port which is given to you in the multicraft control panel by clicking on FTP file access. In order for you to use Bukkit plugins on your FTB server you have to download and then install bukkit forge to your core mods file (Before you do this STOP your server) and then close FileZilla. Restart your server and then re-open FileZilla and then relog in and connect to your server, after doing this you will see that a plugin folder was added to your directory and you can now install bukkit plugins fo your server.

The problem I was having was that my server did not stop so the files were never updated and thats why I never saw it in my directory. You should always stop your server when applying new plugins and then restart FileZilla so it updates.

Because I have never used Multicraft I don't know if you have to use bukkitforge. If not I would recommend MCPC+, it has alot more capatability for plugins.

Yeah It's a real pain to get these plugins on the sever. I don't know if it's bukkit forge not doing what its supost to or is something else.

If possible, could you please expand on this? I am curious as to whether FTB (specifically Mindcrack, in our case), would work "out-of-the-box" for players. I'm not really familiar with MCPC+, but I am open to various approaches.

I was actually trying to install BukkitForge but didn't get very far. Which FTB pack are you running, and which BukkitForge did you end up installing?

from the reading I've done bukkit forge isn't as good as MCPC+. With multicraft, depending on who your provider is, access to your jar file might be restricted. In which case you have to ask them to give you access to it. Its one of their admin options. And normally you'd just replace the .jar file with a renamed MCPC+ jar file, but Multicraft puts the jar file into its own folder.

Here's some instructions on how to do it:

1. Make sure you have access to the /jar folder on your FTP. If not, request access.
2. Make sure your server is stopped
3. Download the L22 build of MCPC+ from here and a .conf file here
4. Open the jar in a new folder to unpack it
5. Copy these files but not the jar file into the main directory. One of them will be your plugin folder
6. Copy the jar file into the /jar folder and add with it the .conf file, but with the name changed to match the .jar file name including .jar
7. On the main panel screen you can now select "Custom Server" as your jar and click save
8. Start your server back up and everything should be working

You can also change what your server appears as in the main panel by editing the .conf file in wordpad
[config]
name=Custom Server.Jar

I know you didn't ask for this, but i told you anyways. Hope it helps

Bukkitforge and MCPC+ are server side, so it's "out-of-the-box" mindcrack for players. However some mods have been known to be a bit glitchy. If a mod is giving you grief, you can disable it server side without having to make your players disable it from their clients.

I think the most recent build of BukkitForge for 1.4.7 minecraft is this one but don't quote me on that. When your server is stopped it just drops into your core mods folder on your server and when you start your server up it will give you a plugin folder... I think, again don't quote me
