[Server] NEI Delete Button isn't working

Hi all, so I'm having a small problem with NEI on my server. I've enabled the delete button and magnet mode for myself and my friend I play with, and while magnet mode works as it should, the delete button doesn't work if you click items normally. Shift clicking the button deletes the entire inventory, and shift clicking an item deletes all of that item, but I can't delete individual items. Obviously this isn't a massive issue, more of a curiosity. Anyone else experienced this?

So you click on the delete button and then click on the items and it does not delete them? The NEI delete button is an on/off button. Make sure you have the same config for NEI on your client as well as the server.

Exactly. Configs were different, I though server configs always overrode client but I've changed it and now testing again ...

Edit: Works in SSP, still not working in SMP. Only an annoyance until I get a void chest, but still
