server lag

I made a server for me and a friend to play ftb monster on. My side runs great, but my friend gets horrible

lag. He also said the bars next to the server is in yellow, mine is always green. Ill add that I port forwarded,

but my computer is connected through Wi-Fi not a cable. I'm looking for some tips on how to fix the lag.

Maybe I need to allocate ram or something to the server. My computer has 8g of ram as well, so I thought for

sure it would run a 2 person server. Maybe the cold hard truth is my computer isn't strong enough to run a

2 person Monster server. Any help would b greatly appreciated.

There's three possibilities here:
1. Server isn't strong enough((Maybe)
2. Your friend's internet sucks(More likely)
3. Your server's connection sucks(Also likely)

The only things you can control is number 1 and 3. Lets first address number 3. What is your upload and download speeds? Also, always hook the server straight into the ethernet, don't use WiFi. It needs a steady and strong connection, something WiFi isn't great for.
