Hey folks, a few friends and I have just recently started playing FTB infinity and we have 1.5.1 installed on a server hosted through MCProHosting at their 3gb plan. We've noticed some really weird server lag that happens rarely to all of our players at seemingly random times.
We all have fairly beefy computers (the lowest having around 32gb of memory, i7 processor, and a high end nvidia gpu) and it doesn't seem to be FPS issues. Most of the time it comes down to small things like opening chests or bringing up the GUI on a furnace or crafting table or even just picking the berries off a bush. Another big problem is mobs which are very jerky and have a significant lag if you try to hit one. There's a delay that happens, generally fairly small but it can get quite annoying and every one of our players has, at one point or another, complained about it.
The most advanced thing we have on the server is a smeltery. We have no machines set up, no queries or anything. The ping to the server is an average of 77 ms so that shouldn't be a major issue.
Nothing seems to come up in the console that might point me at one mod or another. Any ideas on why this could be happening would be much appreciated.
