so my server crashes every now and then and i recive this message on the java file
"WARNING Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?"

the code i have in the file is this
"java -server -Xincgc -Xmx3072M -Xms1024M -Xmn512M -XX:NewRatio=2 -XX:CMSFullGCsBeforeCompaction=1 -XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=2048 -XX:+CMSParallelRemarkEnabled -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -Xnoclassgc -XX:+UseFastAccessorMethods -XX:CMSInitiatingOccupancyFraction=90 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:UseSSE=4 -XX:+UseCMSCompactAtFullCollection -XX:parallelGCThreads=2 -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:+UseLargePages -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=1G -cp ftbserver.jar -jar ftbserver.jar"

I have a six core 3.30GHz processor and 16 GB ram my internet is slow, does anyone know how to fix this or is it because of my internet speed?

Spam bumps merged. DO NOT EVER DO THAT AGAIN. This is a forum, not a chat room. Replies are timed in hours and days, not minutes.

You've also provided pretty limited data on what's going on, and that large font is obnoxious. You're basically providing the formula for any rational responder to go answer other threads instead, so cut it out.

The "Can't keep up" message is fairly standard in pretty much any case where your server (software) is exceeding its limits (this can be due to hardware limitations, parameters, or because something is being particularly leaky, which happens). It's not the cause of your crash. More specific information is required.

Read this for a starter on what to do when supplying information. I will let somebody who knows the spiel on what else to ask go ahead and do that, as I'm the Wielder Of Hammers and not very good at Tech Support.

Do not bump your thread please. You are no more important than anyone else. It was less than 10mins then you bumped it. Be patient the people that help are not here 24/7.

Are you running the server from your own system and running the client at the same time? If so then your system may not be up to the task.

-snip- You're basically providing the formula for any rational responder to go answer other threads instead, so cut it out.

Just putting this out there...
I work full time, and I have a family. When I get home, I check the forums to see if anyone needs help. I do this in order of:

1. Have I been helping on this thread already? If they've provided new information, I try to finish what I've started before answering new threads. It's just courtesy to finish what you start before taking on a new task. If I don't know, I try to make it known that I don't know and need help with assisting that person.

2. Has anyone else replied to the post yet? I am very grateful to have several people regularly helping in Tech Support, so it's not just a burden on one. I try to reply to the posts that are listed as "0 replies" first. No one else has posted there yet, and I want everyone to know that they have an equal chance of getting attention here.

Now we're into the posts that have had replies on them, and I'm not currently helping on.

3. How long ago did they post? I try to start at the oldest page and move to the newest. Some people have been waiting a day or two, and I genuinely feel bad about that. I don't like making people wait longer than the length of one work shift for me (about 9 hours). I know how it feels to be at the back of the line, even after getting somewhere first, it's not a nice feeling.

4. How much information have they provided? If very little, I make sure to tell them they need to give more. If enough, I try to get what I can from the previous posts and do the best that I can.

5. Have they bumped their post? This really irks me (as you can see from the formatting of this following statement).
One person is in no way any more important than another person.
Everyone is equal. I don't care about your color, sexuality, gender, prior knowledge, career choice, educational level, family circumstances, or involvement. No one is ever more important than another human being. Your actions define you, and what you do is always what matters.

When you bump your posts (as you did by posting "anyone" repeatedly) you are telling the rest of the community "I'm more important than you, and the help needs to answer me first, because I'm more important". I despise this. Posts that I find that do that, I will always reply with something along what Unizero put here:
Do not bump your thread please. You are no more important than anyone else. It was less than 10mins then you bumped it. Be patient the people that help are not here 24/7.
Then, I come back later, if I come back at all. You've jumped the line, and now you get to wait longer because you jumped the line.
