Problem Server issue, or is it a modpack issue?

·Minecraft dedicated hosting
·What version of FTB are you using? V12
·Did you add any mods to the server pack? no mods or plugins
·What are your server specs? 10gb diskspace, 500gb bandwidth, 3 gb ram , 6gb vswap.
Trouble started yesterday with a bad connection to the server, according to the host there were difficulty's in the connection the node was on.
Since then there were several msg on the console. Basicly i'm just wondering if its hosting or the modpack. With hosting i will have to change host.

I would have guessed this was something on the server, how many users have you got? Oh and something that was killing my server, how many MystCraft ages have you got?

A good way to test whether it's the server or the modpack would be to backup the modpack then remove it and just have vanilla MC and see if you get the issues then, but this would of course be a major pain in the backside.

Its average of 25 players, with at most 6 to 8 players on at once. Either we are crashing with only 2 or 3 players on.
As for mystcraft i disabled private ages and only have 1 age up.

Hmm you should be fine running it then. Are you able to check the memory and CPU usage, especially round about the time it crashes? Also (though this seems highly unlikely) perhaps just check your disk space usage.

If i check the logs of the vps control panel it seems that it was running at max ram.
if i check the current memory usage it says 30%

Disk usage is 50%

Control panel of the minecraft server itself wont work with ram as it isnt compatible with FTB
