server host, configuring correct mem amount?

Hi i am not using creeper host (unfortunately) i am using another company uk based. well known.

they give you a drop down menu to select the amount af max memory when you want config the server and for upgrading.

i ran my tekkit 15 man on 1024 quite smoothly

i just changed it to FTB and decided to upgrade to 1536 (1.5gb) i assume

on my server graph its hitting max mem all the time when only 2 people are on.

the only thing were doing is using books to find ages, once we go in we come out and save the books biomes etc on the bookshelf table and then destroy the book. were on age 103 at the moment.

theres no world anchors or anything like that. just a few basic build/industrial craft machines.(not running atm)

the max mem choices i have on the dropdown menu are:

600
1024
1536*
2048
2560
3072
3584
and so on

am i using the wrong max mem for FTB ?

what does CreeperHost use? (max memory 15man)

try use a bit more ram. Since its a new world a lot of generation is happening. Also its 1.4 with adds more mobs. And the big amount of mods will add more load on a server.
