Running Windows 7, 64 bit
Running a dedicated server from home
Direwolf20 pack V4
No added mods
16GB RAM, Intel Core i5-3570k CPU @ 3.4 GHz
Sometimes when entering a new Mystcraft world, the player will be in the "void" waiting for the world to load but the world never loads. Instead, everyone on the server loses their connection with the java.net.sockettimeoutexception error.
I've heard about the marble generation bug and supposedly disabling flat worlds fixes that. I've disabled flat worlds but the problem keeps happening.

i have had these problems aswell, told my members to put that book in a chest so i could destroy it and remove the folder from the server. As far as i know it has something to do with a corruptworldgeneration that atm isn't fixable. Tried several things on my testserver to see whats causing (certain biomes / certain other world stats when you write the own world books) but it's totally random. Even so random that if i whould make 2 the same books that 1 works and 1 doesn't.

Well, this screwed my server over... I can't login anymore

Any suggestions?

If it is this unstable then it shouldn't even be on the server or packs... We work our butts off to get servers up and stable just for a mod to corrupt and destroy it. Yeah, sure, just a game, but I would like to enjoy it with the knowledge that active mods won't bust up my whole darn system. Not impressed...

Keep i mind that most of the mods are in beta. The modmakers are working their asses of to get bugs sorted. But with all the changes it aint easy.

I found the solution finally. Open up the players folder (in world) and then open up the (ign).dat file with an NBT Editor (NBT Explorer, NBT Edit, etc.) edit the dimension value to 0, save it, then delete the offending mystcraft age folder in world. :D
