Server Connection

I just got ftb and installed it both for client and server. I'm running the server on my computer using bukkit, and it runs fine. The only thing I did to the bukkit server was editing the Server Start.bat to nogui. I have it running atm and when I go to my standard minecraft.exe and load it the sever shows up, but I cannot connect due to not having the mods on it. Now if I load up FTB minecraft and launch the minecrack (same as server setup) mod, the server doesn't show up even when I put in the ip.

Does anyone have an idea as to why the server isn't showing up in multiplayer on the FTB version of minecraft? I've checked the versions and both are 146

btw when I launch minecraft normaly its 147 and shows server just fine
