I run a server with two other friends. (DW20)
The server is running on a VM machine of one of my mates (who has direct control over the VM-host anyway) so we can do almost anything we want ('hardware'-configuration wise).
However since the upgrade from 5.0.1 -> 5.2.0 the server has been struggling to keep up. With no people connected (chunkloaders are there though) the server is immediately giving the "can't keep up" messages.
Today them two friends started to experiment with forcefields. That went aweful. Server has been choking since, even after removing all the MFFS blocks from the current map.
The server runs fine for ~5 seconds, hangs for ~3 and then continues for ~5 again only to hang up ~3 seconds again. This keeps going and going and going.
It is not a problem of network lag because once the game continues it just seems as if it had paused. Linux is reporting CPU usage times of over 300% (when it hangs)
Also around his base everyone gets a huge performance hit (FPS and network usage wise). FPS drops from 40 -> ~15 and network usage goes up from ~0.02% (of 1GB line) (my base) to ~0.25% in his base.
Either way, I had read up about a /debug start/stop command so I did that and here are there results:

Also, while profiling the server was spewing out these messages:
