Sea biome for miles and miles and miles and...

Hello,

Since my brother and I started, on the first world we were on an island and got a boat and got around 4000 meters away from our house and then we decided that we need to make a new world. Now with the new world we spawned on a very big island with all kinds of biomes but we need cactus for waterproof pipes. And with the Mindcrack mystcraft isnt included in the pack so we cant make a desert biome. So I sailed again for around 3000 meters and gave up. Is this a just a really annoying bug or a coincidense? I have had this in worlds on singleplayer too..... I dont know whats wrong and I hate it that there is so much ocean... Please help me.

I haven't tried Mindcrack but if it has forestry you can make waterproof piping from beeswax. Sorry but that's as helpful as I can be.

I have the same problem. Liquiducts are the solution.

It is odd. I also have that problem. Luckily for me, I found a few cacti early on.

If you have EE3, you can transmute red dye (from flowers) to cactus green with the minium stone

I'm on dw20, does mindcrack have ee3 yet?

Edit: I also had an ocean spawn that was bigger that 3k

You can add extra mods like EE if you like, if you happen to have a red mountains biome, you can use the tiny cactus to get cactus green, or bees...

This is a reason why I wish I could turn that particular biome off. It's enormous, and not very workable as a starting point. Maybe good for a challenge (similar in concept to Skyblock), but without any wood, you simply can't get started in Minecraft. Well, maybe if you actually use Starting Chests, you might be able to get a wooden pickaxe or something, hopefully some sticks so you can make a stone pick later, but unless you've got at least one sapling somewhere, wood is going to be your main... ahem... logjam. Maybe if you get *real* lucky and break into a mine you can get some planks from there, but that's about the only way I could think of offhand.

No mindcrack doesnt have EE3 yet, but I dont like EE3 that much, because you can get resources too easy. But I think they were nerfing it?

Yea, no more energy condensers/collectors. MUCH more balanced now.

I wouldn't say balanced because I can still turn wood into diamonds, but it definitely is much better.
