The spider eyes aren't that bad, but the ghast tears take some hunting in the Nether.

I noticed in 1.6.2 that Ghasts seem to drop 2 tears from time to time instead of 1

Too bad luck armor is gone in 1.6. They drop 5-10 for me with that.

Mob farms! Get your safari net, go into the twlight forest, look for a dark tower and net yourself a carminite ghastling.
Shove that net into an auto-spawner surrounded by grinders and watch the tears flow.

The ghastlings are better for a grinder room since they are a whole lot smaller than their nether cousin.
