(I was so insanely unlucky to get a fuel spawn in an unstable iron world. SRS. I've got a stable desert oil area but this is so much cooler.)

Do that, but just take this age and go to symbols, disable instability and take away the explosions symbol, then have a good time

I don't really want to disable instability. It makes it worthwhile/challenging.

I opted for the lesser powerful but still viable biofuel.. and it's not being spontaneously set on fire, etc.

I ran some numbers and it seems like one BC pump pumping at max speed can fuel DOZENS of HP boilers before breaking even. Seems a wise route, considering not having to deal with instability.
