Safely Remove AM2?

So I've been starting to lag a decent amount. I know that's to be expected, since my computer isn't that great, but I remember that AM2 was a good source of lag for me the last time I played FTB. I stupidly forgot about that, and didn't disable it (I never use it anyways). Now that I'm decently far along in my world, is there any way I can safely remove the mod, without having a ton of gaping holes where the ores used to be?

Using FTB Horizons Recommended version.

Nope, but you won't even notice those holes. Honestly, just remove it and you'll be fine.
