Sacred rubber sapling?

Why are these a thing? please tell me. i planted one and it grew destroying the world and lagged my whole computer out then crashing. Why are they a thing and is there anyway i can remove it without it dropping any items or lagging?
also how do you get them in survival if you can?


(if this is in the wrong forum area or something then sorry)

If the tree makes the world unplayable due to lag, turn graphics down to "fast" instead of fancy. Otherwise, you can try to MCedit it out.

after seeing a screenshot i wonder myself :) what mod adds them anyway?

i wonder if they can be cut down with MFR harvester? cuz that's the only in-game solution i can think of that doesn't involve PC and or brain meltdown.

my computer is not that good anyway and i always play on fast no clouds and the lower graphics settings.

Well... if you really want to save the world remove the mod that adds (derped up and forgot the mod..) them and then go all around the area, the tree wont be there. Then put the mod back in and play

Where are they from?
How do you get these glorious things?
Can they be grown WITHOUT crashing a world?

You can make it without crashing but it will crash if you are like me and have a crap computer even if you dont it will lag and make your world dark. only time i have seen one and my computer didnt crash was one me and some people found on a server and we thought someone just built it (i was on a better computer when i did that and i still got lag)

they are found in nei creative loot chests and i think a rare drop from rubber trees.

The ones that drop from the rubber trees have a different meta-data and will not spawn these monsters. You'll be safe to use them. Someone did some tests on these forums a few months back to confirm that.

only one. i planted 7 because the bonemeal wasnt making them grow so i placed another one to grow that one and i tried 2x2 to see if thats how they grow. lucky when it was made it spawned wood crushing the other saplings.[DOUBLEPOST=1404936368][/DOUBLEPOST]

thats nice to know. so do the dropped ones still make it dark lighting just no mobs or does it just be bright?

would the bound axe from blood magic help clear the tree?
