So I'm gonna keep this short I'm playing ftb monster 1.1.1 and I want to run a extractor of rf (the one from rotary craft) and I can do this with a mag nostalgic engine but it only outputs 2048 torque and I need 8196? For it to do all processes so what I wanna know is how to combine multiple nagnostatics to power 1 thing like is there some kind of wire or something for transferring the torque and rads also some people said use a different tier magnostatic engine but I don't have that in my version :( so yea hopefully you guys get what in trying to do and can help thanks in advance! :)

Either using four magnetostatics or one with a 4x gearbox set to torque should work. Use shaft junctions to combine power if using four magnetostatics.

sooooo you have no idea what you are doing but you want to have x5 ore processing and don't give a shit about the rest of the mod I guess?

If so, I won't help you :p

But if not, you can check in my sig for a guide to learn the mod (and not get murder mercesly by reika) It's up for v23-24 (while you are on v19b or something) but it can help

I don't really see why it would matter Ill be honest I not interested in most of the mod I just use some of the basic things like the extractor and boring machine[DOUBLEPOST=1410048915][/DOUBLEPOST]

because the mod updated (since this version is like one year old) and made you unable to use the mod only for the OP stuff and actually have to go through the progression of the mod.
Anyway, if you don't go through the progression, you won't have access to a setup that will let you process you ore fast and therefor, is quite useless.

Have fun

1.Build fission reactor.
2.Hook a couple dozen extractors up to it.
3.Laugh at peasantry with their legacy magnetostatics and lack of understanding.

Ontopic, the basic concept when dealing with rotarycraft power is

Torque * Speed = Power

Running your engine through a gearbox will increase one of torque or speed at the expense of the other, such that the overall power remains the same. With most machines, so long as the torque and power minimums are met you should aim to maximise the excess speed as this reduces the time per operation

A pre-nerf magnetostatic outputting into a 4:1 torque gearbox will get you to the torque minimum but the speed will be pretty awful.

A huge bank of magnetostatics with their power merged into shaft junctions then run into a speed gearbox would work faster.

My extractor sits on a 3-speed manual transmission, run by a fuel powered engine (consumes Buildcraft fuel, 262 kW). Both levers off runs stages 1 and 4, left lever on runs stages 2 and 3, and the right lever finally runs stage 4 alone but faster. I added this extra gear because stage 4 is the slowest in the first place and also gets to deal with the entire multiplication output of the three previous stages, so you're constantly waiting on stage 4 while the rest is backlogged.

Why no full automation? Because I like being involved in my machines :p Besides, it's surprisingly low maintenance. The setup is pretty much on 24/7 whenever the server is up. I just occasionally stop by and switch gears based on its current status, and then go do something else again.

This is key. RotaryCraft is designed to force you to work through the levels of progress to get to what you want. It's not for the weak of heart :)
Maybe the mod isn't for you if you just want to skip to the ZOMGWTFBBQ machines/tools

I will quote someone else:
"Rotarycraft, played on its own terms, is the thinking player’s tech mod."

This probably means it is not for you.

Even if you do somehow manage to stumble and flail around enough to assemble a working Extractor with your (lack of) understanding, it will perform terribly, and will break as soon as you update (which I recommend unless you like world corruption).
