I have been trying to set up Rotarycraft power transfer using nether portals but I can't get it working. And I can't find any documentation on how it is supposed to work. As I understand it, the coordinates should match and there should be "spatial continuity". But does the netherportal count as part of the shaft, i.e. should the portal coordinates overlap, or should the shaft 'continue' coordinate-wise? Either way, I can't get it working. Maybe you can tell me what am I doing wrong.

This is the nether end of my setup: http://i.imgur.com/50GLzmI.png
As you can see the shaft is at (-260, 119, 41) facing south and it is correctly aligned (receiving from portal direction).

This is the overworld end configuration 1: http://i.imgur.com/nKSs4jy.png
The shaft is at (-260, 119, 39) facing north so we have the portals overlapping but no dice.

This is configuration 2: http://i.imgur.com/gvXFQNg.png
The shaft is at (-260, 119, 40) so we should have continuous shaft but it still won't work.

I am flummoxed by this and appreciate any advice you can give.

As far as I know, this not the case. I remember reading Reika's post that the nether coordinate scaling is not in effect.
Correct.

@Reika
You need to place a shaft block inside the portal as well such that the shaft visually extends into the portal block.

Also, versions 20-24 have a bug where this shaft cannot be created.

That makes sense.

As soon as I figure out a way to automate the bedrock breaker so I can take that ability away from the Borer.

Well, double crap.

The whole point of my odyssey to get power to nether was to power my boring machine via fission reactor / turbine so I could automate getting bedrock dust (and as a side bonus get access to nether roof). :D

Anyway, keep up the good work, Reika!
