I'm not new to RotaryCraft, and I did fairly well in the past.

Somehow this time, I'm stumped. I got all the right numbers powering the extractor, everything is nice and happy in the powerbars, yet Stage 1 simply refuses to run.

2,3 and 4 work just fine! Stage 1 just ... stares at me with any ore I give it.

What engines are you using? How many?
Because I can see two CVT's. What gear ratios are they at?
My only idea is that you may be short a Newton Millimeter and it's not displaying properly on the dynometer.
Try an angular transducer?

Had the second CVT running on 1:1 just so it's there when I upgrade to gas turbine in the near future, so I don't have to move everything.

Anyhow ... power it with 2 microturbines.

Transducer at CVT says it's transmitting 4.192MW @ 8192 rad/sec. Dynamometer reporting 512NM of torque.

But if my numbers were wrong, the stages on the extractor wouldn't be all green no?

Try replacing that 1:1 CVT with a bedrock (or a mat that can handle the energy) and see what happens.

Might want to summon @Reika.

Yeah I did pop a diamond shaft in there. No change.

Using a 16:1 torque on the CVT - identical numbers.

Shall I start the blood ritual to summon him? :p

I have a feeling that you are suffering from one of the spam detection false positives that v8 fixed.
If you have the power update the the latest version.

Yeah think I'll do that, and roll the server to Infinity 1.10.1 from 1.8.2 while at it.

Downloaded a copy of the world, and will do some testing locally :)

I'll keep you posted whether v8 makes a difference.

Update.

I got into AOBD.cfg, and turned all RotaryCraft=true to false, and that seems to have fixed it.

I don't know if I broke anything else by doing that.

Extractor is working fine now, although I have to say its GUI animation is extremely choppy and non-fluid.

The slight choppiness seems to be a thing in most of Reika's stuff. Its not a major hindrance or anything, but there is the occasional, noticeable jitter.

We had the same crash with the same mods on our server too. I reported it to Reika but I can't say for sure whether it is on his end, AOBD's end, or if it will get patched soon.
