Definitely will, whether it be in this thread, or another entirely, I'm not sure yet. Trying to work on the bedrock issue first.
There's a configuration line for this, although I'm surprised its not already set correctly. Something like bedrock_begins_on_level_three or whatever.
Should be in RotaryCraft.cfg (Reika's folder in the configs folder)

I must be smoking something interesting because I can't find any such config. Nevermind.

No worries. Gonna take a peek at the nether ceiling, once I figure out how to supply it with the power it needs so far away from my base.

Do you have Twilight Forest installed?
Mazes are partially constructed of bedrock; you can use a boring machine to harvest bedrock there. Requires a ton of torque.

I'll go look into that now. As for the bedrock breaker, what would be the most efficient way to reach the minimum requirements of 524.288kW, and 8.192 kNm of torque?

I ran mine with a bunch of gasoline engines and a 16:1 gearbox. I can't remember the exact number of engines though, it's been a while.
A decent engine and a 4:1 gearbox set to torque mode should do it...i think.
Not anymore. Power requirement was bumped up to (I think) 2 MW.

Rotary craft shafts can transport power through netherportals.

Didn't know that. That be a lot of shafts, good thing they're relatively inexpensive material wise.

I do have it installed. Just completely overlooked it.

Will look into that. Need a bit more in the way of ethanol so I can carry some gasoline engines into the nether with me. That, or create a ton of shafts.

I used entry-level industrial coils to get started. It sucks, but a fully-charged industrial coil can net you a few bedrock dusts before it konks out.

Edit: I just remembered another plus for the boring machine: with efficiency upgrades it runs way faster. Efficiency 3 triples the speed as I recall, or better.

Yep. I currently have a system where I'll charge two about a third of the way and shaft junction them both into a gearbox, which goes into the bedrock breaker. Slow in every aspect, but hey, it works.

This I did not know. Will it work the same with enhancedportals? Because that's how I get in and out of my hidden chamber in the roof of the nether :p

Failing that, a tesseract, a resonant energy cell and a magnetostatic engine will still do the trick (until I update to the latest version of the modpack, that is XD)

And chunk loaders? At the energy cell and the bedrock breaker site I'm thinking.

I'd say that's a given. Normally I chunkload my base and spot load external sites. Minimises the loading of extraneous chunks out in Colin's subnets where I don't need to be in person.
