RotaryCraft boring machine bug?

Maybe I'm just missing something, but it's the boring machine suppose to drop what it bores through.
I'm operating on FTB Monster version 1.1.1 server and had this issue on 1.1.0 too. I've toggled the drops on/off on the GUI but it doesn't seem t make a difference?
Any one else seen this issue or maybe a possible solution or troubleshooting tip?

Yes the machine is working I've made some very long tunnels with this, but I am losing everything and it's driving me bonkers.

Try putting a chest or some storage thingy on top of the borer?

Yup, that's what I've been missing. I guess I must have missed that. I remember seeing in a youtube video it was just spitting the stuff out.
