Using the latest version of FTB, Minecraft and Java 7.

The issue I'm having is, when attempting to craft mixed metal ingots, I can't remove them from the rolling machine to complete the crafting. My initial thought is somehow the interface for the rolling machine has become bugged, but maybe someone else will know more about this problem. I've never used any of these mods before, so I don't know for sure, but from googling information on the rolling machine I found it had a different interface in videos I saw of it. Here is what mine looks like:

Attaching my FTBLauncherLog. All I did for this log was boot FTB, open my test world, and open the rolling machine interface with right click.

i dont think you gave it any power?? the small squire just shows you the output, and the big one wll have the output item...

your error log shows no errors at all, have you watched a tutorial on the rolling machine?

Didn't mention that, but I did attempt to power it in my test world just in case. From other videos I've seen of it though, it doesn't seem to need power.

It does need power, and that does look like why it isn't working.
As beringtom said, the small square just shows the result, the big square is where you will get your output.

How is it powered then? Cables don't connect to it (I've tried 4 or 5 different cables) and it isn't redstone powered either.

edit: Admittedly, I don't understand much in this mod yet. Sorry if this is in fact not a bug and just me being clueless.

Ok, hate to dig this one back up but I'm not seeing how to hook up the stirling engine. I've got it placed right next to the rolling machine. And....now what LOL. I can place coal into the engine but that doesn't do anything. The Railcraft wiki doesn't seem to list the stirling engine...or maybe I'm blind... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Engines need a redstone signal to run. So place a lever or redstone torch behind it and it should be good. :)

Edit: Yeah what he said ^^^

The above posts got the answers. Basically you need to place some kind of an engine. In this case make a stirling engine next to the rolling machine. Give the engine fuel, like coal, and give the engine a redstone signal. Now you press the slot with the items you want to craft and it uses the power from the engine.

as i said i powered it...
(you can see the item is only there if i put my mouse over it... but still i can't craft)

Ooh, my eyes completely missed that sentence, sorry about that. If you are playing on a server the recipe may be disabled and is instead the original ic2 recipe.

Well, the only real explanation of this would be that it is changed by server. Did you try to use refined iron instead of steel in the top?
