My progress with Bees have been halted for awhile because of rocky bees. I am running Direwolf20 pack and Extra Bees is installed and working. I can see the hives/bees in NEI but I can not find Rocky Bee Hives to save my life. I have looked in caves and in the side of cliffs and I need some help. Maybe someone could post a SS of one to show me what it looks like or where it might spawn.

Use a Quarry or a Steve's Mining Cart. They break the hives and drop bees into what ever they are hooked up too. I got Rockys for days using those two items.
Hope this helped.

Since you are on DW20 you may be in the situation where you are exploring areas that were generated before extra bees was added. Try making a new myscraft age and searching there or going way out into the boonies where you know you are generating new terrain.

I have set up two quarries in my server so far. One mined 100%, and the other one is starting up. I did not get one bee. The only problem I can think of is that extra bees was added after the chunks were loaded but I have only been playing for less than a month so I doubt it.

That may be the case. Try traveling out far from where you are and try it out.

Rock Hives are like any ore, they can generate in an air exposed wall, but they also generate in areas completely enclosed by rock. And since they're a single block, you'll miss most of them if you only wander in caves. Same problem with the Nether bees.

Yet another perverse incentive to run quarries.

Ah so they have a similar spawning mechanic - encased in netherrack? Good to know.
