I've been wondering for a long while whether anything in the FTB modpack has managed to figure out how to do the opposite of the main pump function--pumping the liquids back out.
I'm big on incorporating liquids into my builds, and there's nothing more annoying than having to fill a lake full of water or lava manually. Do any of the pumps, redpower, buildcraft, etc, have this capability? Or am I stuck swimming around helplessly trying to get my water source blocks to cooperate?
Thanks!

Redpower pumps will work. Make a tank to hold water and keep it filled with aqeuous accumulators or xycraft water blocks. Place a redpower grate where you want the water and connect the lines from tank to pump to grate. Using the screwdriver changes the pump direction iirc.

I checked it out. Works on Railcraft and Xycraft tank valves. Also the screwdriver rotates the grate so it connects.

One nice thing is when we get to 1.5, we get the new liquids. I'm thinking a liquid redstone lake or 2. Just gotta figure out how to fill it until all the mods get updated.

Funny side thing.

I used RP pumps to make a hydrolic elevtor.

Mind you it was slow as hell but still ended up being perty cool. Had a 2x2 shaft that at the bottom had 10 greates hooked up to 20 pumps and a few RC tanks. Even with all that pumping action the water level rised and lowerd fairly slow and I was using a boat has the elvetor car.

It was a fun build if not overly useful.
