Retriever help

I'm just wondering why my retriever wont pull cobble out of barrels that aren't full. I'm trying to make it so the retriever will take my cobble from my storage and recycle them to a matter fab.

Hi.

One easy solution. You need to pull items out of barrels from bottom, not top.
Also make sure you supply your retriever with Blulectricity (redpower energy)

It can't draw from the top. Attach it to a row of pipes connected to the bottom of the barrels.
