Hopefully the link for the image gets approved so people can actually see what I'm posting about. Anyway, just downloaded Direwolf20 1.7.10 modpack today after not playing for about 6 months. I'm getting weird tearing on blocks (white outlines and rough looking). My computer isn't a potato, and I have my Nvidia settings cranked up for highest quality.

No amount of Googling has led me to an answer, so hopefully someone here can help me.

First, make sure your drivers are up to date then check/play around with your in game graphics settings like Vsync and the like.

Have you added Optifine, or other mods that change how Minecraft renders?

No optifine, not a huge fan of it. Have been playing around with VSync and whatnot, but no results yet. I'll check for updates on my NVidia drivers, but if that fails, not sure what to try.

Do you have Fast Graphics turned on? It looks like you do, and I'm guessing that might be your problem. You probably won't have any trouble running Fancy Graphics, if your computer is indeed not a potato.

Hmmmm, I usually just set fast on modpacks out of habit (started playing modded on a shitty laptop about 5 years ago). I never knew fast graphics could influence that. After my driver is done downloading, I'll go ahead and give that a shot if the problem wasn't fixed by updating drivers. Thank you all for your help. I'll post again in about 10 or 15 minutes after I see if these solutions work.

It wasn't the drivers or the fast graphics. Turns out my anisotropic filtering somehow got turned down. Even putting it at 8 resolved the issue. Hopefully now if anyone else has this issue, maybe this thread will pop up on a Google search ^_^
