If you can, just make an Enderman farm in the End. You know, the one with pistons that just drop them to their deaths, built far from the main landmass for spawn efficiency. That's what I've been using for infinite iron, gold and diamonds. And anything else that you can transmute with those materials. Mine even converts to an XP farm, but I hardly use it as I have a tier 5 blaze spawner that gets me 30 levels in 30 seconds.

Oh heck no, that's pretty cheaty/op even for me. Heck, if you could that then diamonds would be as common as dirt for me. I produce over a barrel of charcoal minecraftdaily.

And that's not even trying hard.

Yeah, I know, I was kidding.

However, it would be nice if Charcoal Dust had more uses in general.

So probably the best 2 are endermen and zombie pigmen spawners the only problem with endermen is that they teleport away from water but zombie pigmen are immune to fire making them a pain to easily auto kill without turtles or fall damage the main issue with endermen fall damage is that they have 2x the health of most mobs.

Well you could just place the spawners at twice the height, it will still kill the zombie pigmen just the same, and also kill the endermen. Or you could do what I have and create separate towers for each mob.

I've just used mine for carbon plates, you can always make loads of windmills if you can't think of any other use for them (assuming you play with Gregtech, of course). :p

I have the diamond making bees mentioned earlier. Slowly they get my diamonds, quite nice. Someone should make a bee that makes uumatter/iridium. If there is, let me know.

There was mention of there being liquid UUM that could be input into the UU Crafting table in gregtech, so there very well might be UUM bees.

I distinctly remember seeing an iridium comb once in NEI - not sure if any bee makes those, but if so...

When mystcraft worked right, I would drop mobs from my traps through a portal set to "maintain momentum" (JIC, it supposedly does anyways) from a remote drop site to a collection point. I started building a new one in my new world to only find out about the entity crash when I turned it on..

I use the DW20 pack so no GregTech. But...you can use them for carbon plates? I did not know that...

As I recall, the minium stone doesn't work in auto-crafting tables (not tried extensively, so I might be wrong). Also, does the combat turtle/deployer with sword collect minuim shards? I know that it does for XP.
They work just fine. You need one in the table to set the pattern, and one in the chest which gets gradually used up. I've got a dirt-to-clay autocrafting setup.

Too be honest- who needs a renewable supply of diamond? I don't use that many compared to my drain on iron, redstone and nikolite. I have left diamonds in the ground and even lava dumped to make space for more iron and this was before I needed an extra 500 for a boiler, tank and turbine.
Do you have EE3 installed? If so, every diamond you threw away was worth 32 iron plus a small amount of Minium Stone charge.
